Aargh!
When I went out to my mailbox I found a nice sized package on my porch. I knew instantly what it was, and was quite excited to open it. It really was no coincidence that the day Andy got the call to go back to work, I received an offer I couldn't refuse from The Good Cook. :-)
Now I just have to figure our which one to crack open first.
And today's pirate reference is courtesy of CBS's new reality show this summer- Pirate Master. Seriously. Go check out the preview...looks like a ton of fun, and we'll be watching. And with the final installment of Pirates of The Caribbean on the way, it looks to be a pirate filled summer ahead.

I am jealous! I have Dorie's book but would LOVE to have the King Arthur...well actually all of them. My mom has Paula Deen book, so I can borrow that one. I've heard the Giada book is good and is not all pasta, which is good for me as I'm not a huge pasta fan. I mean, I complain when served spaghetti...I know un-"American." :-) Enjoy your books...and I'll be enjoying the Pirates movie when it comes out as well...a nice break from surgery clinicals!
Well... I would vote for the KA Whole grain baking, but Dorie's book has been giving me much success lately!
go for KA!!! that book is amazing, i cant say ebough good things about it!
I'm really in a pickle about this... but since I have yet to do my re-stocking grocery trip, the KA whole grains may have to wait simply because I'm running low on whole grains. It would kind of defeat the purpose to try and sub white flour.
And I have to say, I had no idea Dorie's cookbook was going to be so incredible! Something lemony is calling my name today.
The Good Cook can be awfully tempting sometimes can't they? I try to resist, since I already have sooooo many cookbooks, but I do think I need that KAF cookbook too!
Kalyn, I got a "Come back! Get 4 for $1 each plus one at 1/2 off and only one more to buy...ever." That will be a total of 6 cookbooks for the price of 1 1/2. I just couldn't pass that one up...
Start with Dorie! She won't ever disappoint.
